Fix the 410 Error Page with Chrome!

On some of my websites I had the displeasure to see that Chrome OSX (v36) and Chrome Android displayed a 410 page, despite the fact that all the others browsers was loading the website correctly. This issue was affecting also Google Webmaster Tools, and it can drive you crazy ( cannot verify the sites).

Let’s go to the fix: Don’t waste your time with your robots.txt, or calling your hosting, just delete your htaccess file and create a new one with the basic rules.

The problem was that the anti-hacking rules created in the htaccess was denied the user-agent(s) for current and future versions of Chrome.

That’s it. God bless! 🙂
